Concentrated and Consistent Quality time and time again

eckloniaMAXX Kelp Flake Livestock

Uses:

  • Kelp flake acts as a Prebiotic
  • Chelated Minerals for enhanced bioavailability
  • Broad Spectrum Bio-actives that regulate bodily reaction to biotic and abiotic stressors
  • Improved growth and production on vitamin A or riboflavin deficient poultry.
  • Sources of micro and macro minerals for deficient livestock
  • Fodder supplement
  • Increased milk production and quality
  • Improvements in carcass properties of cattle, particularly in the shelf life of steaks
  • Reduction of pathogenic microbes in the intestines
  • Protection to the intestinal lining from mechanical damage (Laminarin), promoting digestion
  • Beneficial changes in gut flora
  • Increased anti-oxidant activity which in turn has the potential to impart beneficial effects on immune function
  • Improved performance in weaned, growing livestock
Benefits

EckloniaMaxx on Ruminants

  • Kelp proteins are highly digestible similar to that of a good quality fodder, making it a good source of protein for ruminants. Supplementation with Kelp protein increases sufficient microbial protein and rumen protein which all increase the content metabolizable Amino Acids required in high-producing dairy cows.
  • Increased and high quality yield of milk in lactating ruminants.
  • Improved digestion of low quality forages thereby increasing body weight in ruminants
  • Improved the intake of basal diet and enhanced better nutrient utilization
  • Reduce the use of concentrate feeds, thus reduce feeding cost and increase farmer’s income
  • Kelp is an effective prebiotic low in cellulose and rich in specific polysaccharides. This is effective in regulating the rumen flora by decreasing the content of pathogenic flora while increasing the beneficial flora which have influence on the Ruminant health thus could be potential antibiotic replacers.
  • Increased average daily gain (ADG) and gain to feed (G:F) ratio
  • Improved performance of calves after weaning
  • increased expression of immune cells in colonic tissue which reduces potential pathogenic populations in the colon
  • increased anti-oxidant activity which impart beneficial effects on immune function and protects against prolonged heat or transport-induced oxidative stress
  • Kelp increases iodine concentration in ruminant meat, as the organic iodine found in Kelp is readily metabolized and stored in the ruminant muscle, unlike inorganic iodine. Iodine-enriched meat was found to be an easily controllable contribution to human iodine supply, without risk for overdosing or the need for shift in eating pattern
  • Kelp contains chelated mineral elements which have increased bioavailability and are highly effective on physiological responses in ruminants
  • stimulation rumen fermentation and supply of nutrients needed to complement deficiencies of animals consuming low quality forages.
  • increased growth, milk production, reproduction and/or immune response
  • increases Body condition score and milk production without modifying DMI (daily intake) or milk yield and composition

Dairy cattle

  • Improved milk yield and CLA content in milk which is beneficial to human health.
  • Enhances immune function and protects against prolonged heat-induced oxidative stress.
  • Significant improvement in the animals’ mineral status, particularly Iodine and selenium that were low on the farms
  • Reduced pathogenic microbes on rumen fermentation dairy cattle
  • Improved energy utilization
  • improves antioxidant status, immunity and milk yield.

Beef cattle

  • increased Body condition score and milk production without modifying DMI (daily intake) or milk yield and composition
  • Enhanced Meat quality parameters
  • Improved digestion of low quality forages thereby increasing body weight
  • increased anti-oxidant activity which impart beneficial effects on immune function and protects against prolonged heat or transport-induced oxidative stress

Broilers

  • increased growth performance and enhances the immune function of broilers
  • improved egg-laying performance without affecting eggshell characteristics
  • beneficial effects intestinal development
  • improved oxidative stability thus improving meat quality
  • alleviates plasma protein degradation in response to inflammation preventing protein breakdown improving plasma profiles and insignificant effect on carcass characteristics

Layers

  • improved egg production, egg quality, physiological and immunological performance
  • improved high density lipoprotein eggs, a desirable trait for human health
  • improved egg production and quality: it increased weight, shell thickness, and yolk colour and reduced cholesterol in yolk.
  • decreases the feed conversion ratio

Additive in low amounts (1–2%) for benefits for pig health

  • Enhanced pork quality and shelf life by lowering saturated fatty acids and lowering lipid oxidation
  • Intestinal coliform reductions improve gut health reducing pathogen carriage in finishing pigs.
  • increase in average daily gain (ADG)] of suckling piglets influencing growth performance
  • improved the digestibility, with an increase of between +3.3 and +10%.
  • reduced the bacterial growth in pork meat throughout the 14 day of storage.
